Mock Draft Results

ROUND 1 - STEPHEN HILL/WR/GEORGIA TECH
With Cordy Glenn, Peter Konz, and Luke Kuechly off the board I instead focused on WR. Boldin and Smith are good, but you need 3 strong WR these days and Lee Evans just will not cut it. Raw running routes as Georgia Tech ran a triple option O, but is a great run blocker for a WR. Lit it up in Indy at the Combine which further highlighted the staggering 29.3 YPC he put up in 2011

ROUND 2 - SHEA MCCLELLIN/OLB/BOISE STATE
Used more as a pass rusher for Boise State, but showed tremendous athleticism and fluidity in pass coverage in the postseason/workouts. Has the skills to play OLB in either 3-4 or 4-3 in the NFL. I would be stunned if he fell this far on draft day

ROUND 3 - SENIO KELEMETE/OG/WASHINGTON
With the run on OL I wanted to ensure the Ravens got an OG with the departure of Ben Grubbs to New Orleans. Successful LT in college blocking for Polk, but will move inside to OG in the NFL. Not as experienced at OG but has flashed potential. Great feet for an OG but needs to improve his power

ROUND 4 - KIRK COUSINS/QB/MICHIGAN STATE
Was originially considering taking a DB with this pick, but Cousins was just too talented to pass up. Joe Flacco is in the last year of his contract and after seeing what happened in Indianapolis when Peyton Manning went down it is always useful to have a solid back-up QB on your roster. Unlike most college QB's these days, actually has experience with pro schemes and faced good competition in the Big Ten

OVERALL - I think this was one of the best drafts overall. Filled pressing needs with each of the first three picks and Cousins was drafted nearly two rounds after he should be. Probably not realistic to expect the actual draft to fall like this
