WR |
Calvin Johnson* Georgia Tech XVAL= 98.5

Pros:The best WR prospect since Larry Fitzgerald and compares well with the Arizona standout. Outstanding hand-eye co-ordination, hands, and leaping ability. Gamebreaker type player with tremendous size and good speed. Consumate professional who brings no attitude issues along with him. Uses his hands to catch the ball at the highest point and possesses great form in all aspects of the game. Cons:Some minor issues with his game that should be easily remedied with proper coaching. |

OT |
Joe Thomas Wisconsin XVAL= 96.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'8" 303 4.92 Top10
Pros:Great size and wing span with the rare athleticism displayed by franchise left tackles. With the outside speed pass rushers becoming so dominant in the NFL his elite pass protection is a must for any team lacking a franchise tackle. Team leader who can change the attitude of an entire offensive line...
Cons:Can be better as a run blocker and isn’t as mean and nasty as you would like an offensive linemen to be. Injuries are a concern but he finished his senior season healthy. |

RB |
Adrian Peterson* Oklahoma XVAL= 96.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'2" 217 4.40 Top10
Pros:Very rare combination of size, speed, moves, and vision. A warrior who doesn't take hits, but deals them out, leveling linebackers and defensive backs. Can get the tough yards inside and still burn the defense running outside. Natural talent, uses vision and technique to complement his notable physical abilities. Has good hands even though he has not been utilized much as a receiver. Cons:His ferocity and upright running style has led to multiple and frequent injuries. Needs to learn how to minimize wear and tear on his body, a la Tiki Barber. |

Brady Quinn Notre Dame XVAL= 95.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |

Pros:Has prototypical size...Hard worker and a leader with elite intangibles...Smart and does not make many mistakes with the ball...Very strong and does not go down easily...Arm strength is excellent...Is mechanically and technically sound...A good athlete who can move in the pocket and scramble a bit...Has a lot of experience against top-notch competition...Knows how to read a defense and has been well schooled in a pro-style offense by a noted quarterback guru...Is very tough and durable and has never missed any action despite taking quite a beating at times during his career...A clutch player who has come through big in tough situations and plays his best when the game is on the line...Is accustomed to the spotlight. Cons:His accuracy tends to get spotty at times...Will struggle under pressure like most quarterbacks...Some are concerned he may be a product of Weis' system since he didn't really emerge until his junior year...Despite the big numbers he didn't have quite the senior year some were expecting due in large part to his offensive line. |

QB |
JaMarcus Russell* LSU XVAL= 95.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'6" 265 n/a Top10
Pros:Has a rocket launcher attached to his right shoulder, tossing 70 yard passes without breaking a sweat. Good pocket passer who shifts well to avoid the rush. Has impressive touch for a guy with the best arm since Jeff George. Difficult to bring down. Has the most pure potential of any QB in this draft and most drafts of the decade. More upside than any player in the entire draft. Very intelligent, like a coach on the field. Cons:Probably closer to 270 than his listed weight of 255. Was on a potential national championship team, loaded with talent, but still lost 2 games. Showed up when the spotlight was on him, but flew under the radar when it wasn't. Questionable work ethic. Inconsistent, needs to eliminate mistakes. |

DE |
Gaines Adams Clemson XVAL= 95.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'5" 265 n/a Top10
Pros:Prototype OLB/DE tweener who played in a role similar in college as he played with his hand down to get to the QB or standing up to drop into coverage. Extremely athletic and has an arsenal of pass rush moves along with the quickness to stuff the run in the backfield.
Cons:May need to bulk up in order to play DE in the 4-3, will need to be coached into an all around LB in the 3-4 and not just a sack master.

DT |
Amobi Okoye Louisville XVAL= 94.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'2" 302 5.00 Top10
Pros:Quick interior DT that can stuff the run as well as get to the passer similar to Tommie Harris of the Chicago Bears. At only 19 years old he will only get better as he develops and gets coached up. Potential level is through the roof.
Cons:Needs to continue to develop and get stronger to avoid being thrown around by bigger offensive linemen. Can be suspect against the run. There are questions about his motor.

FS |
LaRon Landry LSU XVAL= 94.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'1" 213 4.35 Top10
Pros:Ferocious tackler, and a tremendous physical presence. Great ball-skills and a true ball-hawking safety once the ball is in the air. A rare athlete combining top tackling skills with great route reading ability. Cons:Great at intercepting routes, but overall is a liability in coverage. Has played little man to man coverage, and can't be trusted in that aspect. Loves the big hit, and will sometimes overcompensate to do that, ala Roy Williams. |
9
DE |
Adam Carriker Nebraska XVAL= 88.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'6" 296 4.90 Top20
Pros:Adam is a big defensive lineman with the size to play DE or even DT if he bulks up some, which his long frame should allow. He knows how to control the line of scrimmage and should fit into both 3-4 or 4-3 defenses. He is strong at the point of attack, and should be a hard worker. Standout performer in Senior Bowl practices. Cons:Not the type of guy who will put pressure on the QB, but could develop this potential as his career progresses, like a Kyle VandenBosch. Will need to settle into a position and learn the NFL trade. Solid, but not nearly as explosive as other linemen in the draft. |
10
OT |
Levi Brown Penn St. XVAL= 87.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'5" 323 5.39 Top20
Pros:Massive frame that can clear holes for backs and buy time for his QB. Huge asset in the run game at Penn St. and should be able to physically dominate defensive ends in the NFL. The fact that he is a grad student shows that he has a good head on his shoulders. Cons:Can be better in pass protection and may be seen as a right tackle in the NFL. Will need to put up a good performance at the senior bowl to dismiss doubts about his athleticism and physical shape.

MLB |
Patrick Willis Ole Miss XVAL= 87.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'1" 242 4.51 Top20
Pros:Tough, hard-nosed player who loves physical contact. Stout stature which can manuever between blocks well to get to the point of attack. Solid tackler, great run stopper, and very good blitzing. Lots of experience. An unquestioned leader on and off the field. Good measurables and very NFL ready. Cons:Can get sloppy in coverage at times and just has some lingering durability questions, but always seems to find his way onto the field. Gets off blocks well most of the time, but has been contained by some of the better OLmen of the SEC. |

12
CB |
Leon Hall Michigan XVAL= 87.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
5'11" 193 4.39 Top20
Pros:Leon has good size and speed and is a solid tackler. He excels in both zone coverage as well as man-to-man coverage at the college level. He's a very smart CB who plays his position with the understanding and instincts of an NFL veteran. He should be a quality starting CB his Rookie year.
Cons:Leon will be challenged at the next level as his quickness and hip fluidity may not ready for him to be an elite cover-corner - yet. He does have the smarts and instincts to minimize this vulnerability, and the speed and strength to take down those WRs who exploit this lone deficiency with double moves.

13
DT |
Alan Branch* Michigan XVAL= 87.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'6" 324 5.04 Top20
Pros:Top 10 potential. Massive frame with rare athleticism for a man of his size. Strength to manhandle offensive linemen and quickness to raise hell in the offensive backfield. Even with his 6’6 330 frame he is still effective on passing downs. Can be a huge asset in both the 3-4 and 4-3 whether it be at DE or DT.
Cons:Can be stood up at times. Tendency to take plays off and can disappear from time to time. There are some concerns that too much of his weight is from body fat rather than muscle. Overall, nothing that can’t be fixed through proper coaching.

DE |
Jamaal Anderson* Arkansas XVAL= 87.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'6" 280 n/a Top20
Pros:Rare combination of size and explosiveness. Talented sackmaster with the long, poweful frame of a Julius Peppers. Has shown improvement every season, seems to be a hard worker who will only continue to do so. Very high ceiling. Cons:Coming out as a junior, he may take some time to adjust to the NFL level. May not be well suited to 2-gap systems despite his size. |
15
WR |
Dwayne Bowe LSU XVAL= 87.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'2" 221 4.51 Top20
Pros:Big, powerful receiver with excellent size for the NFL. Intelligently uses his power to break tackles and win battles with defensive backs. Standout blocker for a WR. Has good speed, and his hands have improved greatly in his Senior year after eye surgery improved his very poor eyesight. (The story has it that after he got the surgery, he immediately broke up with his longtime girlfriend, based on yes, her looks.) Cons:Needs work on his route running, especially if he plays in a system where the WR is expected to read defenses and change his route accordingly. Lacks the top end speed teams crave. |
16
RB |
Marshawn Lynch* California XVAL= 86.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
5'11" 217 4.46 Top20
Pros:Marshawn is a big back with excellent speed and moves. Displays good field vision, and is adept at breaking tackles, but is more of a read and cut type runner, like a Shaun Alexander or Tiki Barber. Has the 'homerun' ability to burn defenses for long gains. Cons:While he has good vision, he will need to set up his blocks better to succeed at the pro level. Hasn't been used much as a blocker in the passing game, which will cause some teams to pass on him if they place a premium on these skills. |
17
FS |
Reggie Nelson* Florida XVAL= 80.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
5'11" 198 4.49 Top32
Pros:Shows no real weaknesses in his game, and plays every aspect of the safety game well. A vocal leader who can cover, blitz, and play center field. Good height, leaping ability, ball skills, and speed. Reads passing routes very well, showing great instincts when the ball is released. Comparable to Bob Sanders "missile" style of play. Loads of upside and has continued to get better each year of college. Cons:Can get sloppy and overagressive in his tackling form at times, going for a hit instead of wrapping up the ballcarrier. Tends to roam a bit in coverage and can be manipulated by the top QBs. Just needs to get stronger if he wants to be able to play in the box, or he will have trouble with blockers. |
18
TE |
Greg Olsen* Miami XVAL= 79.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'6" 254 4.51 Top32
Pros:Greg has very good size, and good speed and athleticism for a TE at the NFL level. His blocking skills are adequate; he displays good push and strength when run blocking. Comes from a school that has consistently produced TE's for the next level. Cons:Not an athlete of the caliber of predecessors Shockey and Winslow, and should not be expected to compare with these two. Hasn't displayed the consistent hands you'd prefer from a high draft choice. Lacks great speed to split the seam, and his footwork and agility are nothing special. |
19
DE |
Jarvis Moss* Florida XVAL= 79.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'6" 250 4.70 Top32
Pros:Has a long frame well suited to rushing the passer. Unusual athletic ability for a man his size; very quick, with excellent leaping ability. Very active player who is always around the ballcarrier. A physical player who is stronger than one might think. Does well holding at the point of attack vs the run. A playmaker who makes things happen. Compares well with DeMarcus Ware coming out. Cons:Not what most NFL teams want in a defensive lineman size-wise. Will probably need to switch to a 3-4 OLB. Doesnt have much experience at the college level. Will need to be coached up, especially if he makes that switch to LB. Needs to bulk up for the NFL, but has the frame to do so. |
20
CB |
Darrelle Revis* Pittsburgh XVAL= 79.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'0" 204 n/a Top32
Pros:Impact playmaker with a natural talent for making plays on balls in the air. Good all around athletically, with NFL caliber speed and quickness to complement prototypical size for a CB. Has shown the ability to return punts and for many teams would be able to step into this role from day one. Traditional cover-first corner. Cons:Only a junior, he will take time to adjust to the pro game. Leans too much on his superior physical skills, this won't be enough to stay with veteran receivers. Mainly needs dedication to improve and the proper coaching to reach his potential. |
21
CB |
Chris Houston* Arkansas XVAL= 79.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
5'10" 185 n/a Top32
Pros:Chris is a silky smooth cover man who has shown himself well versus tough competition. He knows his way around the football field, and is not often caught off balance or out of position. He has all the skills you look for in a cover-first CB who can line up in bump-and-run and zone defenses. Has the athletic tools and techniques to make a solid NFL CB. Cons:Doesn't display good tackling skills or the desire to come up and help out in run defense. Hasn't been a playmaker and doesnt get many picks. Isn't going to scare QBs and coaches looking to attack his side of the field, and isn't a physical guy who will intimdate. |
22
OLB |
Paul Posluszny Penn St. XVAL= 78.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'2" 238 n/a Top32
Pros:Excellent tackler, uses proper technique. Physical player who does not shy away from contact. Shows a good burst to the QB when blitzing. Natural linebacking instincts in both the run and pass game and is intelligent enough to cover the pass well in space. Projects well as a NFL Will backer, but should also be a good fit in a 3-4 as an OLB.
Cons:Still recovering from a severe knee injury. Has good, but not great overall athletic ability at the NFL level. Has had some difficulties switching positions his senior year. Stiff at the hips, and limited in his lateral agility, which may compromise his ability to cover quick receivers.

WR |
Robert Meachem* Tennessee XVAL= 78.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'2" 214 4.39 Top32
Pros:A good athlete, with good size, speed, and strength for a WR. Will go up and win jumpballs and wrestling matches with smaller DB's. Hard worker who does his job with little talk or fanfare: a rarity among todays showboats and prima donnas at the WR position. Leads by example. A better route runner than many WR's coming out of college. Cons:Will likely need time to adjust to the pro game, like the majority of college WR's, especially underclassmen. Doesn't have elite measureables, so may translate to more of a #2 WR in the NFL. |

OLB |
Jon Beason* Miami XVAL= 77.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'0" 237 4.64 Top32
Pros:Emerging player who had back to back solid seasons at LB. Compact, deceptively strong player who is a sure tackler and can lay the wood. Has versatility at all 4-3 LB positions Excels at special teams. Smart player with lots of upside. Cons:May turn out to be smaller than his listed height. May be more of a SS in some teams' eyes. Only been a fulltime starter for one season. Missed a full season as a redshirt freshman. |

OT |
Joe Staley Central Michigan XVAL= 77.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'6" 306 4.82 Top32
Pros:Has the height and athleticism to be a great pass protecting left tackle which is needed in the NFL with so many good speed rushers. Started out as a TE in college which shows that he has exceptional feet for an offensive linemen. If he runs his self proclaimed 4.7 at the combine he could see his stock raise to another level. *Ran a 4.8 at his pro day and reportedly wowed the scouts on hand. Despite his lack of polish, he could sneak into the 1st round.
Cons:May need to bulk up to be effective in the run game. Hasn’t played against top competition. Can get pushed around by the bigger defensive linemen in the NFL. |

FS |
Brandon Meriweather Miami XVAL= 77.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
5'11" 195 4.47 Top32
Pros:A FS with better man-to-man skills than some NFL corners. Flashes rare talent for a safety, with exceptional speed. Brandon hits like a set of brass knuckles, and is a menace for opposing QB's with his big-play potential. Was considerd a first round talent comparable with Reggie Nelson before this season began. Cons:Thinnish build for an NFL safety. Kamikaze hitter who sometimes comes out on the short end of collisions over the middle, landing him on the injured list. Recently joined Marcus Vick and Albert Haynesworth in the "Stomp Da Competition" Hall of Shame. |
27
WR |
Dwayne Jarrett* USC XVAL= 77.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'4" 219 n/a Top32
Pros:Terrific size and knows how to use it. Is also a great receiver for the crossing and out routes and has an overall better understanding for the more subtle parts of the game than most people would think. Moves well for such a tall player and can definitely be a difference maker on streaks. Has come up big in the important games. Makes the difficult catches look easy and has lots of experience despite being an underclassman. Cons:Rumors about his lackluster speed have made his stock drop. Has concentration issues at times dropping easy passes and has missed time due to numerous injuries. Has shown he can be taken out of games despite showing some of his best stuff in their biggest games. Needs to get more consistent, both game to game, and play to play. Has played with numerous very good USC quarterbacks and has been on great USC teams in general. Has drawn comparisons to Mike Williams that he'll need to shake. |

OLB |
Lawrence Timmons* Florida St. XVAL= 77.0
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'1" 234 4.59 Top32
Pros:Bigtime Playmaker. Attacking LB that will fly to the ball. Plays with passion, Hard Hitter who penetrates the enemy backfield. 3-tool LB who can help against the run, drop into coverage, and rush the QB. Cons:Not the biggest guy, but larger than Ernie Sims who went top 10. Only one year of starting experience, so may need time before he is ready to start in the NFL. |
29
WR |
Ted Ginn* Ohio St. XVAL= 76.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
5'11" 178 n/a Top32
Pros:Ted is an impact player with rare speed and athleticism, even compared to NFL talent. He can soar to snag passes in the air, and could become a very dangerous deep threat. His ability on special teams will be a big boost for many clubs, enhancing his value early on. Cons:Not as polished as other WR's in this draft. Should not be expected to come in right away and steal the show, rather the team that drafts him will need to work intensely with him to bring his skills up to the NFL level; in the meantime, he can help in special teams and 3-4 WR packages. |
30
FS |
Michael Griffin Texas XVAL= 76.5
HEIGHT WEIGHT 40 TIME Projected |
6'0" 202 4.45 Top32
Pros:Michael shows excellent burst when blitzing, and has excellent range in coverage. He's got more than adequate size and is a solid tackler in space. Has good hands when he's in position to make a play on the ball.
Cons:Doesn't show the instincts you would expect from a 4-year starter (If you include starting at NB in 2003). Tends to over-pursue plays and take bad angles - which leads to him missing the opportunity for tackles, or finding himself out of position for an Int.
